Tips for applying to Canadian Schools

1. The 1st step is to apply to a school and gain admission.

2. You can apply to a course based program or research based program for any of the DLIs in Canada.

3. For course based program, you do not need a supervisor before you apply but for a research or thesis based program you need to get or talk to a supervisor before you put in your application.

4. You can secure a supervisor by sending cold emails and aligning your research interest with that of his or her research area. You can get access to their emails and research interest by visiting the program department website of the school you are applying to.

5. Most course based program have little or no funding but most research or thesis based program have funding which can even be close to full funding.

6. Some schools in Canada require tuition deposit but others do not. Apply to what fits for you.

7. Also, if you are considering using Mpower, then apply to Mpower sponsored Canadian schools.

8. After securing admission, the next step is to start the visa application process.

9. Also ensure that the school you are applying to qualifies to grant you a post graduate working permit(PGWP).

These are the few I can remember for now. Bro Sanfo will make corrections or additions where necessary.
